There are seven Divisional Primary Education Offices in seven divisions under the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education. The office of the Deputy Director, Primary Education, Chittagong Division, Chittagong is one of them. There are 11 District Primary Education Offices, 10 PTIs, 105 Upazila Education Offices and 95 URCs under this department. The office is located at Nandankanan in the metropolitan area of Chittagong district. The departmental education office monitors the quality of primary education, percentage of admissions, increase in attendance, prevention of dropouts, reduction of absenteeism rate, etc.
